Ascendance to Heaven
This is a really fun, fast and thrilling composition. The bright lead gives the beginning a calming mood in direct juxtaposition to the racing arpeggiated chords. It gave me a really healing vibe when I was writing it and at the same time exhilarating breath of fresh air. The harmonic content really lends well to the exciting polyphonic melody that drives that beat faster and faster. Two small half-time sections create a sense of wonder, mystery and awe as the build up to the fast, progressive and resonating chord structures. The bass has just enough distortion to give you that hardcore techno sound and instead of putting the bass on the upbeat I decided to put it on the downbeat, which makes it more interesting and highlights the chord changes much better.
