New Creation
The latest innovation of biotechnology asks the question,
Can we create life?Not only its creation, but its total control and dominion through chemicals and even certain augmentation. It is a concept that is difficult to grasp and when man begins to experiment with these forces, it is virtually impossible to determine the outcome. Most scientists agree they don't fully understand how the body works. Some of them even propose to let AI do it. If you as a scientist don't understand it, why do you think AI would understand it better? It won't, and it may even spell disaster for the human race. There is this tantilizing thought for Christians, that perhaps through biotechnology we can extend life, cure disease, remove sin and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. After all, we don't know when Jesus is coming. There are many flaws with this thinking, not only Biblical, but also scientific. For one, science does not have the capability to extend life, God set a max lifespan of 120 years. Second, time is running out for nature and science does not know how to fix the problems. The only thing left is to trust in God and await His coming. Why? Because He is the one that can give us a new body, not science. He is the one that can extend life, cure disease, remove sin and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. The truth is, the new creation is already here and it is you. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you are a new creation.
