Faith

When Jesus came to earth, He always talked about humanity's faith and how He marvelled at it and how it brought Him great joy. There is the story of the centurion, the woman who touched His cloak, and many others. Faith is a part of humanity. It is how we live and it is how we breath. It is essential and impossible to live without it. People think that life is based on facts. That it is all predetermined by our chemicals, but it is not. It takes faith to believe that your farmers will plant crops and deliver food. It takes faith to believe that you will have enough rain to power the hydroelectric damns. It takes faith to believe that your doctors know what they're doing when they prescribe you medication. Life runs on faith and to deny it is to become a machine. But, consider the heavens. The visible spectrum is a tiny sliver of the real world. Even electromagnetism cannot account for the things in the universe. And, a machine can only observe an aspect of itself in the observation. It cannot think outside the box or tell you what is really behind black wholes, dark matter, and gravity. To peer into the heavens you need something else.

Hebrew 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
